The Turkish Statistical Institute declared the economic confidence index for the month of September 2016, which recorded an increase by 20.8% during the month of September compared with the previous month since it rose from 72.66 points to 87.81 points.
According to the data, the rising of the index is primarily due to the rising of the confidence index of the sectors of services, industry, production, and construction.
As reported by Turkish Statistical Institution, the confidence index of the sector of services in the month of September recorded a rise of 5.7% compared with August since it rose from 91.06% to 96.23%. On the other hand, the confidence index of the retail trade sector recorded a decline by 3.2 % compared with the previous month, receding to 97.99 points.
The index of the construction sector rose by 3.2%, reaching to 81.99 points, while the index of Industry sector rose by 4%, compared with August, rising from 103 points to 107.1 points. Finally, the consumer confidence index fell slightly as it recorded a decrease of 0.2 % compared with the previous month, receding to 74.29 points.
